The streets of Chinatown have been elegantly adorned with light displays in honor of the upcoming Lunar New Year, which this year marks the Year of the Rabbit. There are a few events lined up for this year's festive Chinese New Year season. Some are ending this weekend so have a look!

2. Light to Night Festival 2023 (FREE!)
The 2023 edition of Light to Night Festival presents an engaging array of immersive art experiences that transition from daylight to darkness. With a theme of "Here and Now" the festival delves into the concept of living in the present moment through a variety of illuminating visual art pieces.
The theme is rooted in the artistic practice of reflecting on one's surroundings and experiences through art, with a focus on playfulness and experimentation.

3. River Hongbao 2023 - Giant Lantern Displays & Carnival Rides (FREE!)
Join Fu-er and Shou-er as usher in the Year of the Rabbit 兔gether. Be dazzled by the lantern displays, spectacular stage performances and a host of other festivities at River Hongbao 2023. No tickets are required for admission.

5. Doraemon Exhibition @ National Museum of Singapore
On the occasion of Doraemon's birthday, fans of the beloved character have another cause for celebration as The Doraemon Exhibition Singapore 2022 makes its debut outside of Japan at the National Museum of Singapore.
Presented by LEYOUKI, with the support of the National Museum of Singapore, the exhibition offers a curated collection of contemporary artworks that reinterpret Doraemon in the context of our ever-evolving world and highlight its cultural significance in contemporary history.

6. [FULLY REDEEMED] Museum Roundtable Lunar New Year Hongbao Campaign 2023
The Museum Roundtable is pleased to announce the return of its Lunar New Year Hongbao Campaign for 2023, featuring new and unique red packet designs inspired by the Chinese zodiac's Year of the Rabbit.
From January 6th to February 3rd, individuals visiting any of the 39 participating museums, heritage institutions, and galleries will have the opportunity to collect a set of eight red packets, each specifically designed to represent the respective institution.
Please note that supplies are limited and only one set will be distributed per visitor.

7. Wan Qing Festival of Spring 2023 (FREE!)
The Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall presents an outdoor installation, ‘Bunny-ful’ blessings, to welcome the new year and bring prosperity. The installation features two plump rabbits in the shape of daruma dolls, adorned with the characters for "blessing" and "happiness."
Visitors will have the opportunity to experience double "hare-ppiness" on the Memorial Hall grounds during the Year of the Rabbit. It seriously wasn't our intention to be "Bun-ny". (Get it? punny? or funny?)

8. Mega Carnival 2023 @ D’Marquee Downtown East
If you're searching for an exciting way to spend the end of the year, consider visiting the Mega Carnival at Downtown East. There are more than 20 stations offering an array of games, rides, and activities. Some of the highlights include an animatronic dinosaur exhibit, virtual reality skiing and motorbike experiences, and a swan pedal ride, among others.

9. "Bountiful Moments" CNY Event at Universal Studios Singapore

Visitors can anticipate a spectacular new Light and Sound exhibition, in addition to unannounced appearances by beloved Disney characters. The Light and Sound show at the HSBC Rain Vortex will feature a Disney theme in conjunction with the event's festivities. An unexpected performance, followed by personal interactions with Disney characters, culminate with a specially choreographed six-minute Disney100 Light and Sound Show at 7:30pm.

11. Istana Open House with the kids (FREE!)
Visitors can anticipate a variety of new amenities, including an improved Swan Pond with an observation deck and a picturesque stream, as well as live performances and interactive exhibits. There will be food vendors and a mobile food truck on site, as well as booths offering limited-edition Istana souvenirs and merchandise supporting the President's Challenge. 12. Keep calm and chill @ Gardens By The Bay - CNY Garden Rhapsody (FREE!)
There’s a special 5-minute Spring Blossoms edition of the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show happening at Supertree Grove within Gardens by the Bay where the lights of the Supertrees will dance to well-loved Chinese New Year tunes at two nightly shows.
