Switch up your dates for a change with these nostalgic places and unleash your inner child for a day!✨


1. Dinosaur Water Playground - Causeway Point

The only thing better than a Dinosaur-themed playground is a Dinosaur-themed water playground! Complete with life-size dinosaur structures and 2 slides emerging from a volcano, have a whale of a time splashing amongst the adorable dinosaur figures. If you'd prefer to stay dry, there's a dry section of the playground available as well! Moreover, this is not the only water playground offering free admission, do check out other water parks such as Splash-N-Surf at Sports Hub, Tampines 1 Rooftop, and more!

2. Coastal Playgrove - East Coast Park

Situated in Area B of East Coast Park, the Coastal PlayGrove has everything going for an active day out! Featuring a 16m tall Play Tower, the 4-storey structure houses a vertical net play area and numerous rope-based obstacles inclusive of a grip wall, hammocks, stepping pods, and disc swings. Pit yourself against your friends and loved ones in a challenge to reach the very top! Additionally, slides are available at the top for an easy descent back to the ground. That's not all! Traipse along the Nature Playgarden and finally, cool off at the Water Play Area before ending your day.

3. Science Centre

Rediscover the wonders of Science at Science Centre! If you haven't been to the Science Centre in recent years, take some time off to pay a visit and you may find out that much has changed. Admission is free for Singaporeans and PRs during non-peak periods (weekdays excluding public and school holidays), so take this chance to explore the exhibits for free! Some highlights include Phobia, Mirror Maze (admission fees required) and The Mind's Eye.

4. Central Public Library - Victoria Street

The Central Public Library may be a study spot familiar to all, but did you know that they have an adorable children's library as well? My Tree House is the world's first green library for children, furnished with a tree house canopy made entirely of recyclables, and energy efficient LED lights! Spend a peaceful afternoon reading storybooks in the serenity and quiet of the library for a change.

5. Jurong Bird Park

Although free admission is not offered at Jurong Bird Park, you'd be able to get your tickets at a heavily discounted price of $10 for a limited time until 3rd January 2023 (for Singaporeans and PRs). With Jurong Bird Park closing its doors for good, this may be your last chance for a glimpse of the numerous varieties of bird species at the bird park. Take a trip down for a visit before its too late!
