Sweet T.Rex may be a store name commonly known to all, previously a hawker stall located in Alexandra Village Food Centre, serving up astoundingly cheap souffle pancakes at just $3 for 2. It has since expanded to another branch in International Plaza, with a cafe front and elevated menu items.

You can now have your pick between the original souffle pancakes at Alexandra (2 for $5.50), or the slightly more expensive option at Tanjong Pagar ($9.80 for 2). Despite the heftier price tag at the new outlet, the additional ingredients, immaculate plating, and the comfortable air-conditioned seating more than makes up for the increase in price. Aside from the original, you'd get to select from several flavours, including Oreo Chocolate ($12.80), Banana Caramel ($13.80), and Matcha ($13.80).
