Mark your calendars for this year's Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival, which has returned after 2 years! With the theme of ā€œBlossoming Flowers under the Full Moonā€ (čŠ±å„½ęœˆåœ†åŗ†äø­ē§‹),



1. Official Light-Up & Opening Ceremony šŸŽ‡

Join the festivities of this year's Mid Autumn Festival by watching the sculptures and street lanterns come aglow along the streets of Chinatown. Held on the 26th of August, the official light-up and opening ceremony of Chinatown's Mid Autumn Festival 2022 will begin at 7pm. Be prepared to be wowed by the spectacular display of lighted sculptures and colourful street lanterns featuring designs that combine mooncakes with jade rabbits of popular folklore.

Keep a look out for this yearā€™s signature light-up displayed at Eu Tong Sen Street, featuring a 10m-tall candy-coloured sculpture of snow-skin mooncakes accompanied by lovable jade rabbits. If you can, spot the other 4 cherubic Jade Rabbits included in the display as well!

Spend the rest of your night taking a leisurely stroll along the streets of Chinatown and bask in the glow of the rows of lanterns strung up overhead to start off Mid Autumn Festival on a high note.

After the official opening ceremony, the light-up will take place daily til 25th September, so do not fret if you're unable to catch the 1st day of the festival!

2. Food Fair šŸ„®

Upon its return after a hiatus of 2 years, Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival is bringing something new to the table with its first-ever Food Fair! Make your way down to the former Chinatown Food Street and satisfy your stomachs with an array of street-style delights from the 16 pop-up stalls available at the bazaar.

3. Stage Shows šŸŽŸļø

If you're planning to visit the Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival, make sure to arrange your trip over the weekends in order to catch the special stage performances! Held only on the weekends, stay tuned to stage shows presenting an array of performances, ranging from demonstrations of the ancient Chinese art of Mask Changing (变č„ø), to Chinese cultural dances, dialect song presentations and many more.
