As the Mid-Autumn Festival draws closer, more exciting events are coming up over the weekend. Get ready for some adrenaline filled date ideas up ahead!
1. Esplanade's Free Music Series

Looking for free concerts near central? Esplanade has been rocking out with not one but two music series! Singalong with local musicians for Red Dot August as the month celebrating our independence comes to an end. This weekend, it includes exciting performances by Shazza & Friends on Saturday and Altoduo on Sunday.

Want something a little different? This weekend marks the end of the Rocking the Region programme, with spacedog spacecat and Megumi Acorda on Saturday and Pebble and Grrrl Gang closing out Sunday. There's something for everyone at Esplanade this weekend!

2. Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival 2022

As Mid-Autumn Festival inches closer, we'll start to see some elaborate light shows coming up. The Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival officially had their light up and opening ceremony this evening, but that's not to say that there isn't anything else to look out for! The first of the weekend shows lined up for the festival starts tomorrow and Sunday, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at Kreta Ayer Square. Look out for cultural performances to gawk at, from Chinese Mask Changing to dialect song performances.

Watching the performances make you hungry? Head down to the food fair at Smith Street for a wide array of food ready for your consumption! Explore the first ever food fair at the festival and be ready to unload some money at its 16 street food vendors.

3. Giant Vans Shoebox Pop-Up

The two year wait for the Singapore Night Festival is finally over! With its return comes the Giant Vans Shoebox Pop-up, which will have live drawing by local visual artists that would be projection mapped onto the setup.
Want to join in on the fun? Saturday is the last day to do so! Decorate the SK8-HI and let your creativity flow. If you're feeling confident, join Vans' giveaway and stand to win a pair of the classic shoes!

4. Mid Autumn Festival at Gardens By The Bay

The festivities have found their way to Gardens By The Bay as well! Find lantern displays at one of Singapore's most iconic attractions, including the king of the birds in Flight to the Phoenix and beautiful flowers at Colourful Blossoms. Be ready to snap some pretty Instagram photos or, if the time is right, BeReal updates!

Want something with more pizzazz? The weekend brings exciting live stage performances at the Supertree Grove Lawn and Floral Clock. These including performances by Drum Feng, Tok Tok Chiang's Chinese opera, and LED Diabolo & Twirling!
Feel like sitting down and learning something new? You can join the Korean culture workshops this weekend, here you learn to make Korean lanterns, coasters and paper art!

5. ICBC National Basketball League Division 1
